We aim to help our residents achieve success by supporting them in the following ways
1. Providing a safe and sober living environment for men desiring to overcome drug and alcohol addiction and life a fulfilling sober life.
2. Assisting and encouraging residents to achieve financial self-sufficiency through gainful employment
3. Encourage residents to find joy in their new life, learn to love themselves and work with others to create a strong and lasting support system

What We Provide
SOBER LIVING ENVIRONMENT
Residents are provided with all of the tools and supplies needed to begin their sober lives comfortably. Each resident will have a single bed, clothing storage, towels and fresh linens provided.
Residents have access to a kitchen with all cooking tools and utensils, fully furnished and decorated common areas, flat screen TVs with premium cable, high-speed WIFI, computer, free laundry unit on site, meeting areas, yoga, and meditation room and bike access.
Home is equipt with keypad entry and camera surveillance system for security.
The residence is conveniently located near grocery stores, employment opportunities, bus stop, train station and entrances to major highways. We are just a 20 minute train ride to NYC!

SUPPORT
Hazel house is run and monitored by experienced sober mentors. Your mentor will provide you with support in the form of AA/NA meetings, employment assistance, sponsor introductions, house meetings and providing you with a structured daily schedule.
In addition to adhering to the principles of the 12 step program, you will also have the opportunity to gain various life skills that will help you to live a successful sober life such as cooking classes, nutritional counseling, resume writing workshops, meditation sessions, grocery shopping, meal planning and more.

The road to recovery can be just as difficult for the family of the addict. It is important for parents, spouses, siblings and other loved ones to become educated about addiction in order to best support the addict in their journey to sober living.
